KELSEY GERBER

 

Kelsey graduated from UC Irvine with a BFA in Dance Performance in 2014.  A Lake Tahoe native, she spent her youth training in jazz and tap styles, performing at competitions and on cruise lines.  After high school, she attended a year long classical ballet intensive with Central Pennylvania Youth Ballet, and spent two years performing with State Street Ballet’s apprentice company.  She later attended UC Irvine, where she received a research grant to tour internationally with DTM2 Improvisational Ensemble, and spent a summer on full scholarship at the American Dance Festival, working with choreographers such as Twyla Tharp, Leah Cox, and Jesse Zaritt.  She has performed works by Twyla Tharp, Autumn Eckman, Saleemah E. Knight, and Chad Michael Hall.  Kelsey has been a company member with Multiplex Dance, Brockus: RED, Heidi Duckler Dance Theatre, and Ali Mckeon Dance Project.
