AMY MCMURCHIE

 

Amy McMurchie began her training at Ballet Arts Minnesota and later Minnesota Dance Theater. She received her BFA at Alonzo King LINES in conjunction with Dominican University of California. There, she performed works by Amy Seiwert, Gregory Dawson, Carmen Rozestraten and Sidra Bell. In addition, she traveled to Mexico and Central America with the JUNTOS collective where she performed works created by peers and taught dance to various communities. Post graduation, she performed with Inside Out Contemporary Ballet and Danse Lumiere in the Bay Area. She moved to Chicago to participate in the Scholarship Program at Lou Conte Dance Center and had the opportunity to perform in several small projects including participating in New Dances with Thodos Dance Chicago. She is excited to be in the Bay Area again and dancing with ka·nei·see | collective.
